The Factory
Mr Noel
your father went into the factory at 15
bales of jute
family business is tragic
Donegal Road to the car port
how many thoughts
end to end
reach from the Donegal Road
to the car port
a car port’s not a garage
it doesn’t have a door
Uncle Gerry’s not my uncle
he’s really Great Uncle Gerry
but no one says Great Uncle
the things that come from
the factory back to Longshot
tea chest
cardboard spindle
tractor wheel spool
hessian sheets for the garden
where Daddy goes in the morning
why he comes back at night
