Busy
Mummy’s always busy
Daddy’s usually tired
weekdays that is
Saturday Sunday
he’s out in the garden
or taking us somewhere in the car
sometimes in evening he reads
or organises holiday slides
Mummy brings things in off the line
takes the ironing up to the hot press
Mummy’s always busy
until early to bed and reads
Daddy has a late night cigarette
watching the end of a movie with me
don’t forget to put the cat out
don’t forget to put the lights out
end of television for today
long beep to wake people up
so earth ball spins
